How does one survive a global paradigm shift? And if one does survive such a thing, in what way? How do you soothe a collapse that has transformed everything—even the very shape of our bodies?

On stage, six dancers embody these questions through an exhausted, cathartic, and tension-filled choreography. Their voices mutter in a strange language, and their movements—marked by the traces of catastrophe—are trapped in ritual repetition. Through it, they seek to escape pain and, too, to escape their own bodies. To transcend them.

ABERTURA tells the story of this collective fall and its ascent, sparked by a ‘contact’ with a higher form of life. A journey into the light, emerging from a raw, suffocating atmosphere. A contemporary dance performance that seeks—and finds—hope in the most hopeless of contexts.
